Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) – Louisiana Gulf Coast

Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the world’s leading wetland and waterfowl conservation organization has an opening for an E.I.T. for DU’s Louisiana Gulf Coast Region. The position will be stationed in the Lafayette, LA Field Office.
The successful applicant will join a highly motivated team of biologists and engineers to deliver coastal wetland, riparian and associated habitat restoration and enhancement projects. The successful applicant will: (1) assist Regional Engineer(s) with project designs and plan production utilizing AUTOCAD Civil 3D, (2) assist Engineering Technicians with data collection and construction management utilizing the responsible operation of GPS and traditional surveying equipment for topographic and/or bathymetric surveys, (3) serve as DU’s representative on construction projects, while performing a variety of inspections to verify contractor’s compliance with plans, specifications and standards; (4) represent DU with local, state, and federal personnel, private landowners, and other conservation partners.
