We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our System Integration Lab (SIL) team in Poway, CA. In this fast-paced role, you will be deeply involved in hands-on electrical and systems integration work, helping to create, upgrade, and maintain SIL environments across multiple product lines. You will focus on system-level integration of avionics, simulators, power distribution, data buses, and LRUs, as well as electrical architecture, wiring, and troubleshooting of complex system interactions.
You will support the planning and execution of engineering projects, develop or refine electrical designs and system configurations to meet program goals, and apply innovative approaches to resolve unusual or complex integration challenges at the hardware, software, and interface levels.
This position combines practical, lab-based technical work with leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - You will collaborate closely with other SIL engineers, program staff, and cross-functional teams (systems, software and test) to:
- Own, build, configure, and maintain SIL avionics racks, wiring, and test setups, including power systems, signal routing, and network interfaces.
- Devise new approaches to resolve unusual or complex electrical and systems engineering problems.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, ensuring all work adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a bachelors degree or two or more years of experience with a masters degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Must have a thorough understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and expanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialties.
- Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
- Must have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas; capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact and lead a team of moderately experienced professional employees on SIL projects.
- Able to work extended hours as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required.
