We’re looking for a collaborative, results-driven program Mechanical Engineer who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You bring strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage schedules, budgets, risks, and technical deliverables while keeping cross-functional teams aligned. You’re proactive, organized, and comfortable working with both internal teams and customers to solve challenges and drive programs to successful completion.

What You Will Do

Lead project planning and execution, including the development and management of Integrated Master Schedules, detailed program plans, and key project milestones.

Manage program budgets and performance through the Collins Earned Value Management System (EVMS), ensuring effective cost and schedule control.

Coordinate Systems Integration activities across development, qualification, and documentation to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.

Drive change and risk management, identifying potential challenges early, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing recovery plans when necessary.

Lead program status meetings, partnering with technical leads and project teams to monitor progress, address issues, and maintain alignment on priorities.

Collaborate across functional organizations to resolve complex issues and keep projects moving forward in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate program status, manage expectations, and support overall customer satisfaction.

Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills to navigate complex technical and programmatic challenges and drive projects to successful completion.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Microsoft Project.

Experience supporting Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) to monitor program budgets, costs, and schedule performance.

Experience applying Change Management and Risk Management tools, processes, and best practices.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical leads, cross-functional stakeholders, customers, and external partners.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise program updates and effectively lead status meetings.

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify project challenges, assess impacts, and drive effective solutions.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
