We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Space Systems Engineer to join our team located in Centennial, CO. The individual filling this position will be an individual contributor on our satellite systems engineering team supporting one or more satellite development programs. The programs this engineer may support could be in any phase of the development lifecycle: design, assembly integration & test or operations.
This position supports the engineering staff in the analysis, investigation and resolution of routine engineering problems of limited scope. Assignments are for small projects or phase(s) of larger projects(s) and are normally outlined in terms of specific engineering activities. Contributes to the completion of assigned engineering tasks which involve the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance. Documents findings and implemented solutions and communicates results to project engineering staff. Contacts are primarily internal within the team. May provide direction to design staff or technicians.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Supports design and development of space system, segment and satellite subsystem design, integration and test.
- Perform analysis and decomposition of system and subsystem requirements, maintains requirement configuration control.
- Use SysML and Magic Draw to provide inputs to and develop system models for the complete system.
- Applies basic technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve assigned routine engineering problems.
- Obtains and analyzes test data.
- Develops appropriate documentation of findings and implemented solutions and communicates results to project engineering staff. May be required to make technical presentations to project staff.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors or masters degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelors degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
- Prior experience in space domain and satellite segment design desired.
- Familiarity with the following tools is desired: Cameo or Magic Draw, DOORS, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required enabling an effective leadership interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.
