Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, Continuous Improvement Engineer conducting process reviews, performing root cause analyses, developing improvement plans, implementing lean manufacturing principles, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, leading cross-functional teams, and monitoring progress towards set goals, meeting or exceeding company production and quality standards, and meeting customer delivery requirements. Responsible for collecting production data, analyzing outputs, and determining corrective courses of action to promote safety, quality, and efficiency.
Requires a Bachelors degree in engineering and three to five years of related experience, or seven to ten years of progressively responsible related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
