Job Overview:

 

Primary Objective: Provide engineering support for all aspects associated with the design, manufacturing, assembly, and validation of Newmar recreational vehicles.

 Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Assist with the development of product design and functionality.
  • Implement assigned product engineering within the schedule and budget parameters.
  • Interface and collaborate with operations teams to identify opportunities related to product designs, assembly, and material to improve product satisfaction, productivity, and profitability.
  • Address issues related to the product by actively participating in problem solving methodologies.
  • Analyze the risks of a new design or process and communicate results to engineering team leaders.
  • Support the product assembly team to ensure product is assembled based on intended functionality of all product components.
  • Participate in all required testing of product components.
  • Assist as requested in the creation of product designs and specifications using computer software modeling techniques.
  • Participate as required, in all activities to ensure that products conform to market specifications and safety regulations.
  • Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.

 Education & Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of applicable engineering experience in a manufacturing organization 
  • 1-3 years of preferred work experience in one or several areas related to body engineering/vehicle structures, chassis/powertrain/driveline systems, interior systems (cockpit/trim/infotainment), electrical engineering, and industrial design.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and computer-aided design (CAD) platforms; NX preferred
