Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our dynamic team of engineers, technologists, and military veterans. The candidate will be a member of the BAE Test and Evaluation Team, working closely with contractor and military personnel in support of United States Navy (USN) test events. This position will be located at the U.S. Navy’s Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, Virginia.
The selected candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Air Defense for the SSDS and AEGIS Combat System. The candidate will be responsible for supporting USN Combat System testing and event support. The candidate will specifically function in the Air Defense Weapons Coordinator (ADWC) and the Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC).
Required Skills and Education
- 10+ years of related ADWC/AAWC experience in shipboard USN Combat Systems or USN test site operations
- The candidate must possess the technical ability to fully perform the function of ADWC/AAWC submodes
- Naval Operations and Tactics experience

Preferred Skills and Education
- Qualification/ experience up to the Tactical Action Officer (TAO) watchstation
- Experience across multiple SSDS and Aegis Baselines
- Shipboard testing and fleet events experience, such as CSSQT Combat System Ship's Qualification Trials and FTM Flight Test Mission
- Land-based test facilities experience
