Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. Are you an experienced Electrical, Software or Test Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience looking for the next step to grow your career? Do you want to design and develop test solutions and write test software that is mission critical and be a part of a greater cause? Then, help us protect those that protect us by developing the Next Generation Electronic Warfare Systems Products and Solutions. We need your talent, motivation, and vision to join our New Hampshire based team. BAE Systems has recently been awarded new programs and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth. We have multiple positions in Southern New Hampshire (our locations include Nashua, Hudson, Merrimack and Manchester).

BAE Systems is searching for a Senior Test Engineer with experience in developing automated test software solutions.  The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter, able to complete assignments with little oversight while being available as a subject matter expert and technical lead to their team.  They must be able to assume a full or partial lead role as circumstances dictate, and be able to quickly and dynamically switch focus to accommodate the daily activities of an engineering team supporting a production environment.  This individual should be comfortable providing accurate technical status to program management or direction to individual contributors as part of their job function, as well as interfacing with other engineering disciplines as necessary.

Required Skills and Education

  • 2+ years of professional test development and integration experience. 
  • Hardware and Software Integration experience.
  • Possess good communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication
  • Proficiency in Object-oriented programming (C/C++/C# etc.)

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience with the entire product life cycle development or parts of it: Requirements review, test plan creation, coding, integration of test SW with test stands, and sell-off to customers.
  • Experience with RF test development for production, employing RF Test instrumentation (Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators, PNA-X etc.)
  • Experience with RF Measurement techniques and ability to diagnose and resolve to root cause measurement anomalies.  
  • Takes initiative and has a closure-oriented nature
  • Experience with SW version control and bug tracking tools
  • Experience in supporting factory production test stands, debug, problem isolation, and resolution.
  • Experience with National Instruments FlexRIO (LabVIEW FPGA/VHDL/Verilog a plus)
  • JTAG/Boundary project development in an ATE solution
  • Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
  • Git and Tortoise Git
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience in leading engineers on multiple projects/tasks
  • Experience with HW debug & troubleshooting.

Typical Education and Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
