Required Skills and Education
We are actively seeking Systems Engineers with a minimum of 6 years' experience. Undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or computer engineering. Specific skills may include the following:
- Work in an enterprise IT environment with specific tasks related to Voice
- Collaborate with network engineering and other telecom engineers in integration activities involving telephony or call center
- Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of new voice infrastructure
- Support implementation of next-generation voice technologies
- Participate in the system security accreditation process
- Provide certificate management support for secure systems
- Assist with system upgrades, patching, and configuration
- Support new site voice system standups
- Support call center technology deployments, user training, and transition planning
- Contribute to call routing and trunking design within enterprise voice platforms
- Attend meetings with internal teams and clients to gather and understand voice system requirements
- Monitor compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Gain hands-on experience with secure voice devices (e.g., VoIP phones, STEs, Viper) and infrastructure components (e.g., PBXs, encryption devices, call management servers)
- Learn to provide Tier 4 engineering support under supervision
- Learn and support platforms such as Skype for Business, Avaya Communication Manager, and other enterprise call center technologies
