CEMA provides next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.

We are looking for a self-motivated engineering leader to join our Systems Engineering Management team in the CEMA business area as a Chief Engineer. As a Chief Engineer on a project or product family, you will be the technical conscience of the program, ensuring the system(s), product(s), and service(s) being developed and delivered are viable, fit for purpose, and will satisfy customer needs, product/system requirements, and the mission and/or application. The CE is the system architect, the primary owner of the technical solution, and the technical interface to Program, Engineering, Functional and Executive leadership.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Technical Solution Definition, Viability and Adequacy:
    • Leads (system) architecture to drive architectures for next‑gen RF platforms
    • Ensures system design and implementation meet technical requirements and customer/mission needs within allocated engineering cost & schedule​
    • Ensures system design is realizable, maintainable, supportable and testable
    • Drives technical risk and opportunity definition, identification, and mitigation/realization
  • Technical interface to Customer, PMO and executive leadership:
    • Understand requirements, missions, use cases, and constraints
    • Technical risks and issues including impact assessment, mitigation, and closure plans
This position will require you to be onsite in New Hampshire. Because of the need for consistent in-person collaboration and/or the nature of this particular role, this position will be performed full-time on site.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field or combination of education and professional experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the design, development, and integration of complex hardware‑/software‑based systems (e.g., RF, embedded, communications, or control systems).
  • Demonstrated success leading technical teams and overseeing full‑life‑cycle development and test activities.
  • Ability to develop system architectures from concept through implementation.
  • Proven experience capturing, documenting, and translating requirements for RF‑or related systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting technical information to varied audiences, including senior leadership and external customers.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience in a senior engineering leadership role (e.g., Chief Engineer, Program Lead) responsible for complex electronic or RF‑centric programs.
  • Experience with one or more of the following technology areas: RF transceivers, electronic warfare, radar, communications, missile/defense systems, or any high‑performance RF‑based platform
  • Hands‑on experience with MBSE tools (e.g., DOORS, MagicDraw, or similar) for requirements management and architecture modeling.
  • Experience coordinating multi‑discipline software/firmware regression testing and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) validation.
