BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line has an immediate opening for an experienced Test Solutions IPT Technical Lead specializing in support to the Terminal High Area Altitude Defense (THAAD) Missile Seeker portfolio. The successful candidate will have combination of direct experience developing Test Solutions in Electro-Optical/Infrared domain. The candidate must understand lab environment testing concepts and integration of systems, sub-assemblies, and components. This individual will interface with the PLEL, PEMs and Discipline Leads and guide the system test solution leads to develop and maintain production test stands.
Responsibilities may include:
- Communicates Test Solutions improvements to the process to the Discipline Leads
- Accountable for supporting the development of the test architectural, performance, and implementation modeling processes and plans
- Ensures alignment between Systems, Software, Hardware MBE Models, and integrated test.
- Identifies Test Solutions technical risks and opportunities to the Chief Engineer (CE) and supports the management of risks and opportunities
- Execute to the Approved Certification Plan (ACP). Provides guidance and mentorship to the technical work of assigned engineers
- Owns and manages the Physical Configuration Audit (PCA)
- Supports the customer through the Program Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer and Program Manager, as requested.
- Ensures that the current technology deployed provides the means to complete the assigned project
- Outlines current tools and evaluates new tools which could provide a more productive way to completing the tasks
This position will require you to be onsite at Nashua, NH because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor’s degree of Science in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science with 10 years of applicable work experience
- Possess an active US Government Security Clearance
- Experienced background in Electro-Optical / Infrared Sensor systems, modeling, test and diagnostics, for active and passive system solutions
- Experience providing technical expertise for Test Solutions on complex programs
- Experience developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, and leading technical teams
- Leading test stand design, development, integration, and verification
- Experience leading and mentoring a team to create and upgrade test equipment for use in production
Preferred Skills and Education
- Experience with NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand or C++
- Ability to Troubleshoot System Software/Hardware Problems
- Advanced circuit analysis skills to support troubleshooting and diagnosing issues
- Experience with high performance data acquisition and control applications
- Experience with various communication protocols such as Ethernet TCP/IP, Telnet, RS-485, HotLink, IEEE-488, USB, etc.
- Experience in one or more software languages: ANSI C NI CVI, C++, C#, MATLAB
