Our engineering teams provide the critical technical expertise needed to modernize the U.S. ICBM weapon system. As a Support Equipment Senior Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer, you will embark on a high-impact career supporting the LGM-35A Sentinel, the nation's next-generation ICBM. In this job, you will serve as a key technical lead within the Booster Branch, ensuring that propulsion systems and aerospace vehicles are designed and tested to the highest standards of precision.
Your Responsibilities
As a Support Equipment Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer, your primary goal is to ensure the mechanical viability and operational efficiency of the Sentinel support equipment, including Major Maintenance Vehicles. Your day-to-day functions will include:
Mechanical Evaluation: Reviewing detailed mechanical designs, CAD models, and technical specifications for support equipment.
Performance Testing: Overseeing the production and testing phases of equipment to ensure it meets rigorous aerospace and DoD standards.
Technical Problem Solving: Identifying mechanical failures or design gaps and implementing innovative engineering solutions.
Lifecycle Support: Providing subject matter expertise on the sustainment and maintenance of mechanical systems throughout the weapon system's lifespan.

An accredited Bachelor or Master of Science in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
A US DoW Secret security clearance.
Must be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
12 years of experience in an engineering role (10 years with master’s degree).
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives and implement solutions.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Possess a willingness to learn while also sharing your current knowledge/skills.
Values innovative approaches, brainstorming and changing the status quo.
Possesses both strategic thinking skills and tactical execution skills.
Experience with ICBM Weapon Systems and DoD acquisition programs.
Proficiency with MBSE modeling tools (DOORS, SysML, MATLAB, Cameo, Jira).
Strong presentation and facilitation skills to effectively communicate project status and key decisions to stakeholders.
Proven ability to navigate complex project environments and manage changing priorities.
Experience with DoD acquisition programs.
