Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform / assess detailed design and analyses, including thermal and structural, using both classical and finite element methods
- Create and post-process Finite Element Models (FEM) ranging from sub-component level to the system level using Siemens Simcenter 3D/NX, NASTRAN, Ansys Mechanical, and Ansys Icepak.
- Generate/ assess designs against environmental requirements and generate prototypes for test and verification efforts
- Develop robust and novel thermal/structural hardware solutions to meet demanding customer requirements
- Generate / assess 3D solid models, utilize GD&T principles, and perform tolerance analyses to ensure fit and function
- Lead multi-discipline, state-of-the- art hardware teams through hardware engineering design and development
- Lead critical design review activities for program success
- Employ your expertise, decision skills, and independent judgment in technical areas
- Communicate essential information and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, Procurement, Operations, and Program Management
- Support program capture and proposal teams with hardware baselines that include development and cost/schedule estimates

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 4+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong background in mechanical engineering with expertise in CAD design tools and Finite Element Analysis
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience working with integrated military electronic hardware and related test equipment
- Ability to work individually and in small team environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to execute complex projects
Preferred Skills and Education
- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 4+ years’ experience with PTC Creo (formerly Pro/Engineer)
- 4+ years’ experience with ANSYS Mechanical, Icepak, and/or Electronics Desktop for both structural and thermal analysis of airborne electronics hardware
- 4+ years’ experience with Siemens Simcenter 3D/NX and/or NASTRAN
- Knowledge/experience with manufacturing, production, and sustainment of mechanical systems and hardware
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
- Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) / Model Based Definition (MBD) / Digital Engineering
- Active Secret Clearance
