Job Description

BAE Systems is hiring an Industrial Engineer to directly support our Munitions Acceleration Team! As we scale our THAAD production by 4x, this role will directly support our factory expansion efforts to ensure our ability to ramp to rate to our overall strategic plan.

Location/Schedule/Travel:
  • This position will be based in Nashua, NH working a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
  • This is a Hybrid role where you will work onsite on average 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week, based on business needs
  • This position will involve 10% of travel, based on business need
Reporting to the Munitions Acceleration Operations Director, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Development and ownership of a THAAD production capacity model that encompasses all three production factories
  • Drives improvement initiatives to optimize production based upon capacity model output
  • Supports the overall equipment build and transition strategies via engagement with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams
  • Supports Facilities and Operations teams with Factory fit ups
  • Identifies risks and opportunities within work migrations, equipment transitions, and manufacturing ramp to rate
  • Support change management activities including change proposals, scope management, and baseline change implementation
  • Partners with global IE team to ensure leverage and implementation of best practices

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's degree 
2+ years experience in Industrial Engineering
 

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience with ProModel or equivalent production capacity models to analyze and influence touch labor, equipment, and material strategies
  • Experience with production equipment and infrastructure
  • Ability to influence strategies to drive positive outcomes on schedule and cost performance
  • Ability to engage with cross-frunctional stakeholders to ensure overall success
