BAE Systems is seeking a team contributor in the field of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems to join a growing dynamic group of engineers developing leading edge capabilities in Active and Passive Sensing. You will be a technical member of the Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) Systems Engineering Group that is responsible supporting design, development, integration, implementation, test and verification/validation of EW systems across multiple business areas.

As team member, you will be responsible for and support technologies on next-generation military/commercial applications. You will also perform, delivering technical value, in the role of an RF Systems Engineer, for programs ranging from developing prototypes, full rate production, and sustainment of systems.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field, and minimum of 6  years of work experience or equivalent experience
  • Active Secret clearance and be eligible to acquire a Top Secret/SCI and additional SAP/SAR clearance in the future
  • Experience with systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust to dynamic project needs
  • Ability to work onsite in a laboratory environment
  • Ability to support manufacturing issues and working with quality engineers for path forward
  • One or more of the following technical areas:
    • Antenna and phased array experience
    • RF component knowledge (ex. low noise and power amplifiers)
    • Radar experience
    • Commercial or Military wireless communication experience
    • Receiver architecture experience
    • Software programming language knowledge (C++, Python, Matlab)

Preferred Skills and Education

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline and 4 years of experience or Ph.D. with 2 years of experience
  • Hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Familiarty with the Compass Call Program
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering and life cycle processes stages (such as waterfall, spiral, agile/scrum and Vee) and process milestone execution decision gating reviews
  • Understanding of the applications of active and passive sensing in the Electronic Warfare (EW) field
