The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina is seeking a Quality Engineer II in support of Combat Mission Systems for our weekend shift, scheduled for 5 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

In this role as a Quality Engineer II, you'll be charged to:
  • Develop and write inspection plans.
  • Read, interpret, and apply blueprint skills.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensions & Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.
  • Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and data files.
  • Process non-conformances for disposition.
  • Provide technical quality support to production and engineering.

Required Skills and Education

  • This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, and two years related experience, or the overall equivalent.
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
  • Working knowledge in reading, comprehending, and applying GD&T principles and applications. 
  • Ability to read and understand raw material specifications.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word. 
  • Understanding of Quality and Lean Principles.
  • Ability to support Weekend Shift.  Training will take place on First Shift.
