Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

The Endicott New Product Development group is looking for a motivated and self-directed Manufacturing Engineer to join the team to support the build our emerging product set for Aircraft Electrification and Miliary Avionics. The candidate will be responsible for designing manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment ownership and optimization, creating and updating manufacturing work instructions in compliance with Engineering drawings. The candidate will work directly with the manufacturing assembly team to support and solve problems holding up production as well as supporting the various manufacturing processes utilized to produce Energy Storage Systems and flight controls. 
As a manufacturing engineer, you will also work with the team to improve manufacturing processes, develop and implement process control techniques into manufacturing environments.
Additionally, the candidate will lead teams with other manufacturing engineers, assembly personnel and supervisors to drive and implement continuous improvement (Lean) activities within the department.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technical field related to manufacturing or Associate's degree combined with equivalent manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as work within a team environment

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Electronics Assembly Experience
  • Experience working with High Voltage/High Power Assemblies
