Job Summary
The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered designs on garments and other textile products. This role requires attention to detail, basic machine knowledge, and the ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate commercial embroidery machines (single-head or multi-head)
Load garments, hoops, and materials properly
Read and follow embroidery work orders and design specifications
Thread machines, change needles, and adjust tensions as needed
Monitor machine operation to ensure design accuracy and quality
Inspect finished products for defects and make corrections when necessary
Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report larger problems to management
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Meet daily production goals and deadlines
Qualifications
Previous experience operating embroidery machines preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and follow instructions
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate loads
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with Tajima, Barudan, or similar embroidery machines
Knowledge of embroidery software (Wilcom, Pulse, etc.)
Basic sewing or garment handling experience
Quality control or production environment experience
