Job Overview:

About the Role

Join a cutting-edge team driving the reliability and manufacturing testing of Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies electrical hardware systems. These include advanced Level 3+ ADAS, telematics, infotainment, battery management, and zonal Electronic Control Units (ECUs).

You’ll contribute to the design, validation, and deployment of custom automated test solutions that combine software, low-level firmware, data management platforms, and electromechanical hardware. These systems are implemented internally, at external test labs, and across contract manufacturing facilities.

This is a hands-on, technical role where you’ll collaborate closely with engineering leads to:

  • Conduct reliability and manufacturing testing

  • Analyze and report test data

  • Build and validate first-article hardware

  • Redline schematics and troubleshoot complex issues

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate software interfaces to run and monitor test equipment during hardware bring-up.

  • Validate hardware and system functionality using standard lab tools such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies, and digital multimeters.

  • Calibrate and set up thermal and vibration chambers for system reliability testing.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and document device-under-test (DUT), test equipment, and harness failures.

  • Perform circuit board rework, including component soldering/de-soldering and electronic modifications.

  • Support commissioning and deployment of new automated test systems.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent technical experience.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building or maintaining Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or industrial automation systems.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and component datasheets.

  • Skilled in soldering, rework, and electrical test bench practices.

  • Proficient with lab tools (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, DMMs, etc.) and power tools.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft and Google productivity applications (Excel, Docs, Slides).

  • Able to lift and handle test fixtures, instrumentation, and hardware setups as needed.

  • Proactive, hands-on problem solver with a passion for technical excellence and reliability.

Why Join Us

You’ll be part of a world-class engineering team advancing next-generation vehicle electronics and automation testing. Your work will directly impact the reliability, safety, and performance of cutting-edge automotive systems deployed globally.
