Job Title: Electronics Assembler I
Summary: Assembles cable and wire harness assemblies, box builds, kitting and other products completely from start to finish by performing the following tasks and duties under indirect supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reads work orders, follows production documentation and/or sample assemblies, and/or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
• Performs the following tasks: labeling, wire cutting, stuffing, crimping, bag and tag, soldering, potting, IDC, SCSI, heat shrink, pc board soldering, backshelling, harnessing, harness board construction, box builds, kitting, create wire lists, "special projects", continuity testing, and pin extraction.
• Assist in the QMS and the commitment for continuous improvement.
Knowledge/Skills
• Knowledge IPC 610/ 620, J-STD-001 certification preferred
• Must have good hand/eye coordination and the ability to use microscopes
• Attention to detail/ must be able to read and interpret blueprints
• For color coding purposes, must distinguish colors.
• Ability to use hand tools- long nose pliers, side cutter, and soldering iron.
• Capable of following both verbal and written instructions
• Ability to compute measurements accurately
Education/Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent manufacturing work related experience
• 1-2 years experience in electro- mechanical assembly
• Basic Computer skills required
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use have good manual dexterity and prolonged sitting in the work station
