Role Overview
The Electronics Assembler I supports manufacturing operations by completing routine and well‑defined assembly tasks in accordance with documented standards and quality requirements. The role focuses on consistency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality procedures. Success is demonstrated through proper execution of assigned tasks, minimal rework, and ongoing development of assembly skills.
Key Responsibilities
Electronics Assembly
Assemble electronic components, parts, and subassemblies following work instructions, drawings, and bills of material
Perform repetitive assembly tasks using hand tools, fixtures, or basic equipment
Prepare components for assembly, including sorting, kitting, and identification
Follow standardized assembly sequences and procedures
Inspection & Quality Support
Perform basic visual inspections to verify correct assembly and workmanship
Identify and report defects, missing components, or assembly issues
Follow quality standards to ensure products meet specifications
Safety, Cleanliness & Compliance
Follow established safety rules, ESD (electrostatic discharge) practices, and manufacturing procedures
Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with 5S or similar standards
Use tools and equipment safely and properly
Team & Operational Support
Work with supervisors, leads, and team members to meet production goals
Communicate issues, questions, or concerns related to work assignments
Support line balancing, rework, or other production needs as directed
Learning & Skill Development
Learn basic electronics assembly techniques, materials, and terminology
Become familiar with manufacturing documentation and quality requirements
Participate in training to improve efficiency and skill level
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Entry‑level position; prior manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus but not required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic math and measurement skills
Ability to work in a team‑based production environment
