Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive technology organization, is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician. This role is responsible for building prototype power electronics, supporting PCBA testing and soldering, and assisting with fabrication, assembly, tooling, and production transition activities.
Job Duties
- Build prototype power electronics assemblies and related components
- Interpret electronic schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation
- Operate soldering equipment and perform PCBA testing
- Support fabrication, assembly, tooling, and test activities for new product development
- Manage material inventories and kit parts for assembly
- Develop and support test methods, test fixtures, work instructions, and routers
- Perform verification testing to confirm functionality and quality requirements
- Document test results, deviations, and modifications from original designs
- Build wire harnesses according to IPC/WHMA A-620C standards
Skills & Experience
Required
- Associate degree in an electrical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of electrical or electronics technician experience
- 2+ years of recent hands-on electronics assembly or testing experience
- Experience with Electrostatic Discharge procedures
- Printed Circuit Board inspection knowledge
- Soldering experience to IPC Class 3 standards
- Basic knowledge of IPC/WHMA A-620C wire harness standards
- Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and related test equipment

- Electro-mechanical experience with control circuits
- Component specification experience
- Circuit board test experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience supporting product transition from prototype to production
- Microsoft Office experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
