JOB FUNCTION – REQUIRMENTS – SUCCESS FACTORS:
Responsible to the Manager, Engineering & Technical Services for performing all necessary maintenance work in the field of electronics to maintain a high level of equipment performance, including both analog and digital systems, instrumentation, and primarily, but no limited to, solid state circuitry.
REQUIRES:
Must have the capability of understanding and applying electronic technology. Should be the equivalent of high school graduate with two years of electronic education or experience. Must be able to work under pressure. Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with others.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Repair and calibrate various operating equipment, including Tank instrumentation and analog systems, batch house weighing systems, Wareroom glass processing system, variable speed drives, communication systems, automatic inspection systems, and variety of others. (35%)
- Complete projects in the area of electronic control. This can require the utilization of outside resources. (25%)
- Perform a variety of related duties, such as filling out reports, keeping accurate shop logs, purchasing and accounting for material and supplies, sending out equipment for repair and other related duties as directed by supervisor. (15%)
- Read electronic schematics and use them to troubleshoot systems, understand the theory of electronic components, testing components to determine their condition. (10%)
- Must be capable of testing and repairing printed circuit boards, modules, and other electronic equipment. (5%)
- Stay abreast of changing technology in the electronics field, (5%)
- Must have a working knowledge of the plant’s Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.
- Utilize Sigma Logic, Lean Enterprise, and Value Focus processes in order to identify and maximize customer value and productivity.

12 hour shifts, 3 or 4 days a week. 7 am-7pm or 7pm-7am
