DESCRIPTIONESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Ability to wire electrical control panels and field devices to drawings/schematics provided. Technician must have the ability to provide consistent and quality driven product results associated with assembling and terminating control panels, controls plates and wire/tube harness assemblies.
- Interpret and work from 2D mechanical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and pneumatic logic schematics.
- Mechanically assemble automation systems, including installation of pneumatic and electrical components. Light machining (e.g., drilling and tapping) may be required.
- Support internal build activities and provide field support for customer installations, service, and buyoff events.
- Maintain and follow 6S and safety standards across work areas.
- Able to provide controls assembly support both internal to the client and onsite at customers as needed. This would include but not be limited to internal customer buyoff events and offsite customer install or service as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other functional departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Other Skills and Abilities:- Ability to troubleshoot existing installations.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Ability to use hand/power tools and possess basic understanding of machining tools.
- Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and attention to detail in this role.
- Communicate effectively with other functional departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales.
- Working knowledge of personal computer, keyboard, and various software programs.
- Willingness and ability to travel and represent Invio professionally at customer sites.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Attention to detail, organization, and documentation.
- Ability to prioritize and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to explain how and why specific conclusions were reached.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to remain flexible to changing schedules and demands.
- Travel domestically as required for installation and service support (within the continental US/North America).
EDUCATION
High school diploma or Associates degree from an accredited community college or vocational school. Job-related experience and/or training will be considered in lieu of post-secondary education. 5+ years’ experience in the building and testing automation equipment, preferably in the automation or industrial machinery space.**
