As a Electromechanical Technician, you will be part of our production team and contribute to the success of our organization by completing customized automation projects for our customers on time and with a high degree of quality. In this role you will be responsible for building, testing, maintaining, and calibrating electromechanical equipment. You will be held accountable for completing projects with a high degree of quality, and meeting project deadlines.


On a daily basis, as an Electromechanical Technician, you will...

  • Attend kickoff meetings with Engineering team and customers to understand project requirements.
  • Complete projects within allotted project hours and by due date.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Build and wire industrial control panels by following electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Build machines/equipment following drawings and under direction of Engineering team.
  • Identify and resolve concerns with schematics and drawings that may impact overall quality and function of completed project.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues related to project timeline, quality issues, etc. to Production Manager and/or Engineering team.
  • Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment in-house or at customer locations.
  • Conduct field service work at customer locations (travel up to 15% of the time).

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy, to include use of Microsoft Outlook.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in building industrial control panels and machine assembly.
  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude with the ability to make real time decisions regarding wiring and machine functionality.
  • Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical hazards.
  • Must hold valid driver’s license with ability to travel between work locations and to customer sites.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Work environment is light industrial, with exposure to a moderate level of noise. Daily operations in work environment includes the use of basic power tools, hand tools, and repetitive hand motion in manipulating electrical wires. Sitting, standing, and bending at waist for up to 3 consecutive hours at time. May need to reach above shoulder height for extended periods of time. May be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Must be able to climb stairs, and move freely between aisles of parts, equipment, shelving units. Must be able to carry or lift at least 40 pounds.
