Job Overview:

Job Title:              Electromechanical Intern  

Reports to:           Equipment General Manager      

Job Summary 

The Electromechanical Intern supports the service and installation of industrial equipment. Working alongside experienced technicians to maintain machine reliability, assist with field repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction through diligent testing and teamwork

Essential Duties

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electro-mechanical equipment to ensure peak operational performance.
  • Support field operations at customer locations across North America, performing on-site equipment servicing and installations.
  • Learn how to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment utilizing technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostics tools, visually and by sound
  • Collaborate with technicians on how to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment utilizing technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostics tools, visually and by sound.

 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
  • Eagerness to develop analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-function teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel alongside technicians 

Education and Experience

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited institution, working towards an associates or technical degree in Electromechanical, automation, or similarly related field

Physical Requirements 

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, stooping, crouching, crawling, and bending
  • Be able to handle, grasp, and perform repetitive motions
  • Requires the ability to see, hear, touch, and smell
  • Working in a manufacturing environment.
