Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Technician to lead advanced assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical systems. This role plays a key part in prototype builds, process improvement, and supporting engineering with design feedback to ensure high-quality, manufacturable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced assembly of complex electro-mechanical systems, including wiring, harness fabrication, PCB integration, and mechanical builds
- Interpret and work from complex schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
- Conduct advanced testing and diagnostics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized test equipment
- Troubleshoot system-level failures and lead root cause analysis efforts
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement corrective actions
- Lead prototype and first article builds, providing feedback on manufacturability and design improvements
- Review and validate work instructions, BOMs, and assembly documentation
- Recommend and support process improvements and documentation updates
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of electro-mechanical assembly or system integration experience
- Expert ability to read and interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Proficiency with advanced assembly and diagnostic tools (torque tools, soldering, crimping, precision measurement, oscilloscopes)
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles (AC/DC systems, grounding, EMI/RFI, shielding, circuitry)
- IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001 certifications preferred
- Experience in regulated or high-reliability industries (aerospace, medical, defense, robotics)
- Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto)
- Experience supporting NPI and prototype builds
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and digital work instruction platforms
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay:
Up to $32.00 per hour (based on experience)
