Electro-Mechanical Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and production machinery. This position is responsible for keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime through preventative maintenance and timely repairs.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills who is comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime.

  • Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.

  • Maintain and repair motors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, gears, pulleys, chains, and PLC-controlled equipment.

  • Test electrical systems, voltage, and continuity using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment.

  • Assist with new equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and commissioning.

  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and overall performance.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed repairs.

  • Follow all plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.

  • Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve equipment performance.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.

  • 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical components.

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting production machinery.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment preferred.
