Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Technician looking to work on cutting-edge technology? Join an innovative team that designs and builds advanced autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) used in underwater exploration and defense applications. This is a direct hire opportunity with a growing company where you'll play an important role in bringing new products from engineering into full-scale production.

  • Pay: $30.00 - $33.00/hour (based on experience)

What You'll Do

  • Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems and components.
  • Build and install cable harnesses, wiring, and pressure-rated connectors.
  • Perform wire crimping and soldering to IPC standards.
  • Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by helping transition new designs into manufacturing.
  • Assist with pilot builds, process improvements, and assembly documentation.
  • Perform leak testing, pressure testing, and calibration of components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Maintain quality standards while following ESD and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, marine, or similar industries.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with soldering, wire harnessing, and cable fabrication.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
  • Experience using testing equipment such as multimeters and measuring tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
  • Experience with marine robotics, AUVs, ROVs, aerospace, or defense manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of leak testing, pressure testing, waterproof assemblies, or subsea applications.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Lean Manufacturing principles.
