Job Overview:

Direct Hire Opportunity – Electrical Assembler / Control Panel Technician

**Hours: 6 am to 4:30pm Mon - Thurs **

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler / Control Panel Technician to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role responsible for assembling, wiring, and installing electrical control systems for custom industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, experience interpreting schematics, and the ability to work independently while supporting production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire industrial electrical control panels by following electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Install and route electrical wiring on automated equipment, including mounting sensors, switches, and other electrical components.

  • Perform light mechanical assembly, including mounting electrical enclosures, drilling and tapping holes, and installing brackets, conduit, and wireways.

  • Install conduit, cable trays, and other raceway systems to support machine wiring.

  • Assist with electrical testing, troubleshooting, machine start-ups, and system validation alongside engineering and production teams.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, blueprints, and bills of materials.

  • Accurately document completed work and maintain production records as required.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.

  • Support other production or assembly areas as needed to meet customer deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience building industrial control panels, wiring machinery, or performing industrial electrical assembly.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and bills of materials.

  • Strong understanding of AC/DC control circuits, three-phase motor controls, relays, disconnects, breakers, timers, safety circuits, and other industrial electrical components.

  • Experience using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, along with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.

  • Mechanical aptitude with experience performing light fabrication, drilling, mounting, and equipment assembly.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Must provide basic hand tools required for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience working with automated material handling systems, conveyors, or custom industrial machinery.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
