As an Electro Maintenance Technician supporting our manufacturing site, you will be trusted to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to minimize production downtime and improve yield and quality in Huntington, WV.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance by troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing components on production equipment
Performing preventive maintenance (PMs)
Helping with the execution of CCRs and validations
Detailing work accurately per company and regulatory policies (within Maximo, on test scripts/protocols, etc.
Being the first responder for potential SIF conditions (if applicable)
Supporting engineering and MS&T projects as needed
Mentoring other team members, overseeing, and providing mentorship on work
May help participate and lead CAPA and/or FEMA activities
Leading and handling small-size projects for continuous process and yield improvement within and outside of functional area
Ensuring smooth daily operations between engineering and providing parts and tooling support
Conferring with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information
Assisting supervisor and production support lead in tests and trials for potential process changes and improvements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Work hours: 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday: 11:00 PM EST -7:00 AM EST

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Industrial Maintenance Experience
Experience troubleshooting & repairing production equipment
A related technical school certification or equivalent training or experience (e.g. manufacturing technology, electrical engineering, etc.)
Solid foundation in robotics, electrical systems, computers, and mechanical systems
Excellent mechanical aptitude and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills
