Responsibilities

This off-shift Electrician position, located in Muskegon County, MI, is responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, instrumentation, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment used in production processes. The position plays a key role in ensuring reliable plant operations, equipment uptime, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

**Job Roles **

  • Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation used in production equipment and facility systems.
  • Performs installation, inspection, and testing of electrical and electronic components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with standards.
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Interprets electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support troubleshooting and repair efforts.
  • Conducts preventive maintenance and calibration of control systems, drives, and sensors.
  • Collaborates with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to implement system upgrades and process improvements.
  • Adheres to all electrical safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Maintains detailed maintenance records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides technical support and training to other maintenance and operations personnel as needed.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, safety, and reliability.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Possess a minimum of one of the following:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master Electrician License
  • Strong background in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and controls
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial automation systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
