Job Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for trouble shooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, air operated and electrical components and equipment, installing new equipment, removing old equipment and performing preventative maintenance.

What You Need to Know:

  • Able to work without direct supervision
  • Diagnoses equipment for cause of malfunction
  • Determined effective repair mode and necessary replacement parts
  • Has strong understanding of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical equipment
  • Make electrical repairs, install new electrical services (120/208/240/277/460/480)
  • Install new wiring, distribution systems, conduit, lighting and motors
  • Perform preventative maintenance electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment including distribution equipment (panelboards, transformers, sub-stations and breakers)
  • Perform other related duties as required

What We Are Looking For:

  • Has strong understanding of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical equipment
  • Intermediate understanding and repair of mold and hot runner systems and material drying systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to traverse the production facility including stairs and ladders.
