General Job Objective:
Perform essential electrical installations, equipment maintenance throughout the Shady Grove facilities and any other location specified by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisors, the Electrical Engineer or the designated representatives. Incumbent expected to support all company programs such as Lean, 5S, TPR, etc.
Minimum Job Requirements:
· Incumbent must thoroughly understand all safety regulations for OSHA and NFPA70E as they regulate to working electrical circuits and daily functioning in a heavy manufacturing environment
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
Essential Job Functions:
· Must be a skilled electrical tradesman knowledgeable of a wide range of electrical supply systems from three phase 480/12500 volt distribution circuits and single phase feeder branch circuits through low voltage DC control circuits.
· Must be familiar with various pieces of electrical equipment to include: electrical motors, generators, transfer switches, transformers, switchgear, buss ducts and disconnects.
· Utilizes electrical troubleshooting skills to identify electrical problems and provide resolution to those problems quickly.
· Must be familiar with Electrical codes and standards NEC, IEEE and NEMA.
· Perform electrical load calculations for the purpose of sizing current carrying conductors, conduit, fuses and circuit breakers in accordance with the National Electric Code.
· Other duties as determined by supervision.

This position covers any and all manufacturing environments, and may be located inside or outside. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, reach, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Incumbent must be able to physically climb ladders and safely operate lift equipment, such as scissor lifts, Manlifts and boom trucks. Incumbent will work in a typical manufacturing environment including the use of solvents, adhesives, hydraulic oil, petroleum products, etc. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds. Incumbent must be willing to work at various heights.
Education & Experience Requirements:
· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
· Additional training at a technical trade school and/or equivalent experience in lieu of trade school preferred.
· Minimum 2 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, commercial or industrial apprenticeship, or comparable military experience preferred.
Health & Safety Requirements:
· Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
· Perform job functions in a safe manner.
· Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company Policy for the job being performed.
· Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules.
· Actively participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received.
· Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management’s attention or correct those you can.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams and interpretation of single line High Voltage diagrams provided for Arc Flash NFPA70E compliances.
· Experience in reading operating procedures and technical manuals, as well as, writing routine reports and correspondence.
