Job Overview:

One of our manufacturing clients is looking for Electrician for their facility in Westmoreland, IL

**Shift **- 2nd & 3rd Shift

**Pay **- $30-$35/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and wiring throughout the plant, offices, and grounds.

  • Diagnose electrical failures and perform necessary repairs, including emergency repairs.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical components such as motors, transformers, switches, switch panels, circuit breakers, safety switches, micro switches, and programmable controllers.

  • Install and maintain electrical systems for power presses, body makers, litho presses, and other production equipment.

  • Install electrical conduit as required.

  • Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on forklift trucks.

  • Maintain batteries and battery charging systems.

  • Maintain plant paging and time clock systems.

  • Replace burned-out lights and perform general electrical maintenance as needed.

  • Work both inside and outside the plant to support electrical maintenance activities.

  • Use heavy hand tools as required, move motors, and safely climb ladders to perform maintenance tasks.

  • Monitor the workplace for hazardous conditions and practices and ensure safety procedures are followed.

  • Maintain good housekeeping and ensure proper use of safety devices and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of complex electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.

  • General working knowledge of mechanical equipment.

  • Ability to diagnose electrical problems and determine appropriate repair methods.

  • Ability to perform emergency electrical repairs safely and effectively.

  • Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment and wiring.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical systems and components used in industrial manufacturing equipment.

  • Ability to safely use hand tools and other equipment required for electrical maintenance.

  • Ability to work safely in both indoor and outdoor plant environments.

  • Strong awareness of workplace safety, hazardous conditions, and proper use of safety equipment.
