Job Description

Electrical Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot electrical failures on production equipment
• Diagnose issues with 480V through 13.8kV electrical systems
• Repair motors, motor controls, starters, contactors, relays, and transformers
• Troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs)
• Diagnose phase loss, voltage imbalance, ground faults, short circuits, and relay failures
• Troubleshoot furnace electrical systems, burner controls, ignition systems, and temperature controls
• Service servo motors, encoders, and positioning systems used throughout production

Preventive Maintenance

• Perform scheduled electrical PMs throughout the facility
• Inspect electrical panels, switchgear, MCCs, relays, and contactors
• Conduct predictive maintenance using thermal imaging to identify issues before failures occur
• Calibrate instrumentation including load cells, industrial scales, and flow meters
• Maintain detailed work orders and preventative maintenance records within the CMMS

Equipment Installation & Upgrades

• Install new electrical equipment and production machinery
• Assist with commissioning new manufacturing equipment
• Retrofit older equipment with updated PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and control panels
• Configure and tune automation systems for optimal performance
• Install and maintain industrial lighting, UPS systems, and emergency shutdown equipment
• Support plant-wide energy efficiency and electrical improvement projects
