Shift: First Shift, Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Sterling Engineering is partnering with a well-established manufacturer to hire an Electrical Test Technician to support the assembly and testing of electrical power distribution and power quality equipment. This role will perform electrical and mechanical assembly, high-voltage testing, troubleshooting, and final inspections while following strict safety and quality standards.
Job Duties:
Conduct high-voltage electrical testing, including partial discharge, dielectric, calibration, timing, and low-voltage testing.
Assemble electrical power distribution equipment using blueprints, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
Perform mechanical assembly, disconnect assembly, and final product inspections.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during testing.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
Operate hand tools, torque tools, wiring equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
Follow safety and quality procedures while meeting production goals.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience with high-voltage electrical testing (5kV / 3-phase or similar).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
Experience with hand tools, torque tools, wiring equipment, and precision measuring tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Manufacturing or electrical assembly experience preferred.
