MAU is hiring an Electrical Technician for our client in Covington, GA. Electrical TechnicianThis is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information- Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

  • Potential overtime

Required Education and Experience- Technical degree or certification in a relevant field

  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information, including technical drawings
  • PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens

Preferred Education and Experience- Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or a suitable STEM major

  • Project management experience
  • Manufacturing experience

General Requirements- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions in a timely manner

  • Ability to work collectively with the Director of Engineering & Maintenance to support departmental and company goals
  • Hands-on aptitude
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems
  • Experience drafting reports and organizing data
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ladder logic

Essential Functions- Become the subject matter expert for all mill-related and auxiliary equipment, including the mill, furnace, tables, saws, shears, grinders, and pickling line.

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components, including power distribution, automation, and control systems tailored for manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct testing on electrical systems to verify functionality and safety.
  • Troubleshoot electrical system issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assist with the installation and start-up of new equipment.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of electrical systems, including schematics, specifications, and maintenance records.
  • Collaborate with operations to improve process and product quality and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance program and spare parts plan.
  • Learn and develop proficiency in RSLogix 5000 used to control the mill complex.
  • Create and maintain GANTT charts or equivalent project schedules to support capital installations, equipment repairs, and equipment upgrades.
