Electrical Technician
A growing manufacturer of specialized truck-mounted equipment is seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Technician to join our production team. This hands-on role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining electrical systems on heavy-duty equipment and aerial lift units.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with electrical systems, and the ability to work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Troubleshoot and repairelectrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues
- Fabricate and install mounting hardware and brackets as needed
- Install related electrical systems including 12-volt wiring, generators, and power connections
- Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, soldering equipment, gauges, and testing devices
- Maintain accurate installation, testing, and repair documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical installation, electrical assembly, equipment maintenance, or related manufacturing work
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Knowledge of industrial wiring and automotive electrical systems
- Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
- CDL Class B license or willingness to obtain one is a plus
- Technical degree, vocational training, or apprenticeship preferred
