About Us:

GrayWolf Modular develops and delivers modular solutions that significantly enhance predictability and scale for the construction of our clients' key infrastructures and facilities. The group is focused on the data-center and advanced manufacturing space by specializing in E-houses, CDUs, CUBs, White Space, Modular Data Centers, and other modular products for these markets. We offer end-to-end services to develop, design, procure, manufacture, and commission these modular products to meet client requirements.

Position Value Proposition:

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Switchgear Design Engineer with expertise in 3D design using SolidWorks Electrical to support the development of modular data center infrastructure. In this role, you will focus on the design, modeling, and optimization of electrical switchgear systems tailored for modern, modular data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, 3D CAD modeling, and modular data center layouts, ensuring that designs are efficient, scalable, and meet industry standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the 3D design and modeling of electrical switchgear systems using SolidWorks Electrical, ensuring all components are accurately represented and aligned with project requirements.
  • Create detailed 3D models of switchgear assemblies, including MCCs, switchboards, and other power distribution equipment, to be integrated into modular data center infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and data center architects to ensure seamless integration of switchgear systems with modular data center designs, including power distribution, backup systems, and cooling infrastructure.
  • Optimize switchgear designs for ease of assembly, installation, and future scalability, ensuring minimal space usage while maximizing functionality and safety.
  • Conduct electrical load flow and fault analysis using modeling software, ensuring that switchgear designs meet performance requirements for modular data center applications.
  • Work with teams to select and specify electrical components, ensuring compatibility with the designed systems and compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and contractors to ensure that 3D designs are aligned with project timelines and budgets.
  • Provide design support and technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through to installation and commissioning.
  • Generate detailed 3D design documentation, technical drawings, and specifications to support the construction and installation of electrical switchgear systems.
  • Provide design modifications and updates as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation for production and field installation teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in SolidWorks Electrical and switchgear technologies, continuously refining design processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability in modular data center infrastructure.

Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) to perform essential functions of this position:

I. Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical switchgear design, with a focus on 3D modeling and CAD design, preferably using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Proven experience designing electrical systems for modular data centers, including power distribution, backup systems, and integration with other infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of electrical system design standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC) and experience in applying these standards in modular data center environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring accuracy and completeness in 3D designs and technical documentation.

II. Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.

III. Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses

  • Additional certifications in SolidWorks Electrical or similar CAD tools are a plus.

IV. Software & Technology

  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical for 3D design and modeling of electrical switchgear systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical components, including MCCs, switchboards, transformers, and protection systems.

V. Work Environment
