About the Role

As an Electrical Supervisor at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, located in Wheatland, PA, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of automated manufacturing systems. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial maintenance, and a deep understanding of PLC automation. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to improving and commissioning new equipment and processes, while maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-performance work environment.

You will collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and management to improve manufacturing systems, design new processes, and ensure optimal machine performance. This is an on-site role located in Wheatland, PA.

What You’ll Do

• Promotes and enforces safety practices – Ensures compliance with OSHA and company safety policies, including LOTO and Arc Flash procedures.

• Leads improvement projects – Drives improvements in existing equipment and designs, tests, and commissions new automation systems for manufacturing processes.

• Solves complex problems – Utilizes process systems design, machine selection, and PLC automation to resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes.

• Assists in equipment maintenance – Helps install, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software for automated manufacturing systems.

• Provides training and support – Trains plant maintenance technicians on troubleshooting PLC and related systems.

• Conserves resources – Uses equipment and supplies efficiently to achieve job results.

• Maintains technical knowledge – Stays up-to-date with the latest technologies by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking.

• Performs additional duties – Completes assignments in other job classifications or departments as required.

• Leads maintenance team – Assists in directing hourly maintenance employees to ensure operational efficiency.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment, preferably with PLC, VFDs, DC Drives, and induction heating units.

• Degree or training in electrical field – A degree or diploma from an accredited college or trade school is highly preferred.

• Proficient in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC and HMI programming software – Able to write and optimize PLC and HMI programs.

• Experienced in PLC communication and networking – Knowledge of Ethernet communication and networking in automated systems.

• Familiar with material handling systems – Experience with conveyor and other material handling systems.

• Experience with overhead cranes – Knowledge of both AC and DC crane systems.

• Design and feedback experience – Able to provide design reviews and feedback for manufacturability improvements.

• Able to handle multiple projects – Proven ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.

• Safety-conscious – Ability to lead and promote health and safety practices in compliance with regulatory agencies and company policy.

• Reliable attendance – Must have predictable, full-time, onsite attendance in accordance with the posted schedule.

Compensation & Benefits

Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.

Base Salary Range: [$71,000—$124,000 USD]

Additional compensation may include:
