Position Summary
The Maintenance Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the electrical maintenance team to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations. This position oversees the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery. The supervisor works closely with production and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and ensure maintenance work is completed safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support electrical maintenance technicians on all shifts as needed.
- Assign daily work priorities and ensure maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, motor control, and automation-related issues.
- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities to reduce equipment downtime.
- Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns and resolving issues quickly.
- Train, coach, and develop maintenance employees to improve technical skills and performance.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with engineering, production, and management teams on equipment upgrades and improvement projects.
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors when necessary.
- Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and planning maintenance activities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to maintenance team members.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, drives, and automation equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance management systems is preferred.
