Job Overview:

Job Purpose

The Electrical Panel Assembler is to manually assemble complex industrial machining. 

Authority Statement

The Job Title listed empowers the Incumbent with the authority to execute all duties and responsibility listed below. In the event of a conflict of authority, the Incumbent shall elevate to direct supervisor for resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Have basic knowledge of electricity
  • Able to read and understand basic pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Have required tools, know how to read and use measuring instruments, and be capable of doing light duty mechanical work.
  • Basic wiring utilizing blueprint drawings
  • Layout and wiring of control panel
  • Strong motor skills and strong mechanical aptitude to use power tools and hand tools to assemble frame of machine.
  • Assembly of minor tooling; drilling and tapping
  • With instructions from team lead – disassemble machine
  • Crate machine

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency- required
  • Electronic/ Trade School certificate or any higher education in electronics or mechanical systems preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience OR
  • Any appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with power and hand tools.
  • Strong Technical abilities
  • Work in a team environment and be safety oriented

 

Working Conditions

Mostly standing work. Continuously lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.   Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs. (Lifting more than 50 lbs. overhead must be performed by using mechanical aids; if mechanical aids are not available, the lift will be performed by two employees in a team lift.) Detailed work with hands; fine work and simple grasping. Position may involve bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, and kneeling with occasional crawling and twisting.  Periodic travel may be involved.  As needed, will work at a desk and a computer screen for extended periods of time. Must be able to manually enter data to the computer system and understand the screen and images that appear.

Non-exempt| Full Time | 40 hours/week | Associates are expected to work overtime when requested by supervision, which could include same day notice.
