Job Overview:

About the role:

As an Electrical Mfg. Supervisor, you will direct electrical personnel, ensure adherence to Westinghouse safety standards and processes. Manage resources to ensure that you train, qualify, and schedule the Electrical shop personnel appropriately to support production and facility needs.

You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and be located at Shoreview, MN. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct PFP meetings throughout year and merit decisions
  • Address personnel performance issues
  • Approve weekly time and vacation requests
  • Determine training and qualifications need for each process/job/task in group
  • Ensure training is assigned in PowerHub and everyone is current
  • Ensure proper onboarding and a mentor is assigned for all new hires
  • Support physical work for groups and as qualified to perform
  • Resource manager for electrical assembly personnel
  • Provide updates to P6 schedule on electrical assembly activities
  • Support rescheduling of activities if there are delays
  • Ensure training qualifications are completed on time and maintained properly
  • Ensure resources are assigned for maintenance (PM) work tied to electrical equipment
  • Support QC with any final structure as-builts
  • Ensure work orders for electrical work are created upon release of a new job and before shop need
  • Review and approve work orders before handing off to shop
  • Ensure ECO changes are incorporated into work orders
  • Estimate hours for work to make electrical assemblies in-house
  • Ensure Manufacturing electrical procedures observe Level 2 procedures and current site practices.
  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

Review and approve engineering test procedures

Ensure we have proper equipment necessary for project testing

Oversee FAT technicians and provide support throughout test plan

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 8+ years' experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years as a manager or supervisor in a manufacturing facility.
