The Electrical Maintenance A will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, machine overhauls, machine installs, inspections, services, and general cleaning on facility equipment and systems.
2nd and 3rd shift availability only
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities
**
Performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and service on machines in a fast-paced production focused facility.
Work during plant shutdowns which typically occur on weekends and holidays.
Installs new equipment or moves current equipment to facilitate production efficiency.
Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
Identifies the root causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
Prepares reports documenting work performed.
Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
Assist outside contractors as needed for special projects.
Use computers to create work orders, order parts, monitor systems, submit reports, accurately record time confirmations, and check email. Primary programs will be Microsoft office suit, Indusoft, and SAP.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience
Previous electrical maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with programmable logic controllers preferred.
Strong electrical aptitude and a willingness to learn required.
Ability to read electrical schematics required.
Ability to bend and install conduit or willingness to learn required.
Identify voltage of equipment and place in electrically safe condition. To include equipment from 120V to 24900V.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and welding.
Robotic programming and troubleshooting.
**Education **
Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience preferred.

Basic hand tools.

Work Environment
Ability to work on elevated work structures while wearing appropriate PPE to include aerial lift platforms and cat walks.
Ability to troubleshoot various electrical equipment
Ability to work in and around dirty/dusty locations while wearing appropriate PPE.
Ability to work inside confined spaces while using appropriate PPE.
Potential exposure to extreme heat during summer months and when near molten Iron and hot castings.
Potential exposure to extreme cold during winter months if working outside.
Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding production focused environment.
Additional Information
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Able to climb stairs/ladders, bend, stretch, push, pull, pinch, kneel, and move as needed to preform duties.
Must be able to visually inspect parts and machines.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
