**Electrical Maintenance Technician
**
As an Electrical tech. at Pace Industries, Cambridge Division, you will install, service, and repair wiring, conduits, fixtures, and other electrical devices and systems in an industrial manufacturing setting to NEC requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to be a part of a technically advanced, high-growth company with a fast-paced, results-oriented culture. We seek a self-starter who can take the initiative and efficiently perform installation and maintenance work both individually and as part of a team, while reinforcing our Safety First work environment and maintaining high quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble, and install electrical wiring for equipment, appliances, apparatus.
Maintain familiarity with NEC national electrical code and maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the county, state and federal levels.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC run equipment including Die Cast machines, Trim presses, and other plant equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical control circuits, repair and maintain all electrical systems in the facility.
Wear the required personal protective equipment and follow all safety rules and policies set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures.
Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power).
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Repair gas-fired and electrical furnaces.
Repair water tower, pumps and compressors.
Repair of water-cooling system and plant air system.
Perform rigging activities
Perform other associated duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required, preferred but not required Department of Labor (DOL) Master Electrician, Journeyman Certificate. Additional vocational/technical training is desired. Candidates must be able to read and understand written directives and be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and circuit diagrams.
Four (4) years of journeyman level electrical experience or, completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance and two (2) years electrical experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Candidates must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain and/or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures and must be able to perform moderately heavy lifting. This individual will be required to successfully complete Pace Industries’ Lock Out/Tag Out training and forklift training. Occasional opposite shift work and night or weekend work may be required to perform preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring continued efficient operations; as such, overtime will be required.
Candidate must be versed in the use of digital and analog multi-meters and diagnostic tools used in testing and troubleshooting electrical equipment. Must have a complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC’s, electrical, and electronic systems. Experience with Kawasaki Robotics a plus.
