OverviewWe're partnering with a leading heavy industrial manufacturer to hire an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician supporting a high-volume, continuous manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial electrician or electrical maintenance technician who enjoys troubleshooting automated equipment, solving complex problems, and working in a fast-paced production environment.This is not a construction or facilities maintenance role. You'll be responsible for keeping critical manufacturing equipment running by diagnosing electrical and automation issues, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous production.What You'll DoTroubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems on automated production equipmentDiagnose issues involving motors, drives, sensors, encoders, relays, and control circuitsTroubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment using Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal (logic troubleshooting only—no programming required)Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment printsPerform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipmentTest motors using multimeters, megohm meters (Meggers), and other electrical diagnostic equipmentTroubleshoot 24VDC, 120VAC, and 480VAC electrical systemsAssist with replacing proximity switches, solenoid valves, relays, motor components, and other electrical devicesSupport production by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtimeAssist mechanical maintenance technicians with basic mechanical work such as bearing replacements and hydraulic valve changes when neededMaintain accurate maintenance documentation and communicate equipment issues with maintenance and operations teamsFollow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)What We're Looking For2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting skills on industrial electrical equipmentExperience working with:480V industrial electrical systemsMotors and motor controlsVariable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Proximity switches, photoeyes, encoders, relays, and sensorsElectrical schematics and wiring diagramsBasic PLC troubleshooting experience (Siemens preferred, but other platforms are acceptable)Comfortable using multimeters, Meggers, and other electrical testing equipmentWillingness to assist with basic mechanical repairs when production requires itStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressureExcellent attendance, communication, and teamworkPreferred QualificationsExperience in heavy industrial or continuous process manufacturingExperience in steel, aluminum, paper, mining, chemical, cement, glass, or automotive manufacturingFamiliarity with Siemens Step 7 or Siemens TIA PortalExperience troubleshooting 4–20mA instrumentationTechnical degree, industrial maintenance certificate, or electrical apprenticeshipWork EnvironmentThis is a physically active industrial maintenance role supporting a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
