We are is seeking an experienced, safety-minded Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic systems, wiring, and production equipment. You will play a critical role in diagnosing and correcting malfunctions to minimize downtime across our heat treatment operations, hydrotesters, and threading lines. The ideal candidate brings strong 3-phase, 480V, and industrial troubleshooting expertise to ensure our high-production plant runs safely and efficiently.
Installation & Maintenance: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures using hand, power, and precision measuring tools.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using testing devices (ohmmeters, voltmeters, megohmmeters) to isolate and resolve root causes of equipment breakdowns.
System Connectivity: Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and other critical electrical components.
Equipment Care: Maintain production machinery throughout the plant, including heat treatment units, threading equipment, and integrated control systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory codes.
Team Collaboration & Support: Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team of skilled trades; perform mechanical troubleshooting, rigging activities, and other auxiliary plant support functions as needed.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly observe all safety regulations, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols, and plant safety policies while utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Ability to safely work at heights from ladders, scaffolding, and roofs to service equipment.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced heavy industrial environment that is subject to extreme temperatures (hot and cold), dust, and dirt.
Certified or capable of safely operating forklifts and aerial high lifts.
Power Systems: Deep familiarity with 3-Phase systems, 480V, AC/DC equipment, transformers, and industrial power supplies.
Controls & Automation: Solid understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), ladder logic, digital logic systems, and input/output (I/O) devices.
Drive Systems: Competence in configuring, programming, and troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and AC control equipment.
Schematics: Proficient in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
Professional Attributes: A self-starter who works well independently but can take direct operational orders and pivot priorities as required by production needs.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Preferred Education: An Electrician’s license, a 2-year technical degree in electrical technology, or completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
Background Check: Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical work assessment.
Availability: Must be flexible and available to work 12-hour day and night rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and handle emergency call-outs.
