Industrial Maintenance Electrician – PLC & High-Voltage Troubleshooting

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Industrial Electricians to support commissioning and startup at a state-of-the-art steel manufacturing facility. This is an opportunity to work with advanced automation, complex electrical systems, and cutting-edge manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on troubleshooter who can work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and perform both electrical and mechanical repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and edit existing Siemens S7 PLC logic.

• Diagnose high-voltage systems, including 480V, 4,160V, 13.5kV, and 345kV equipment.

• Troubleshoot and configure VFDs, including ABB, Siemens, and WEG.

• Diagnose PLC-to-VFD communication and speed-reference issues.

• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.

• Perform complete motor replacements, including mechanical installation and electrical connections.

• Support equipment commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.

• Work closely with operators to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.

Required Qualifications

• Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.

• Hands-on PLC experience, preferably Siemens S7, including logic edits.

• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems above 480V.

• Strong VFD troubleshooting and configuration skills.

• Mechanical aptitude and experience replacing motors and industrial equipment.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Preferred: Experience with multiple PLC platforms, heavy manufacturing, commissioning, and formal electrical training or apprenticeship.
