Position Summary:

AtWork Conroe, is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Installation & Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of conveyor systems, sortation systems, warehouse automation equipment, control panels, and industrial machinery at customer locations throughout the United States.

The ideal candidate should possess strong electrical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings, and hands-on experience in industrial panel wiring, field wiring, instrumentation, electrical troubleshooting, commissioning, and field service activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, wire, test, troubleshoot, and commission industrial automation systems and conveyor equipment.
• Perform electrical panel installation, field wiring, cable routing, cable dressing, termination, and electrical integration activities.
• Read and interpret:Electrical schematics,Single Line Diagrams (SLD),I/O Lists,Control drawings,Power distribution drawings,Instrumentation drawings,Engineering notes and specifications.
• Understand industrial switchgear, motor control systems, sensors, VFDs, relays, PLC I/O systems, and instrumentation devices.
• Read and understand third-party equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for field integration.
• Perform electrical field wiring and termination according to approved engineering documentation and applicable electrical standards.
• Conduct:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults during installation, startup, and operation.
• Support preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown service activities.
• Verify installation quality including:
• Coordinate with mechanical technicians, controls engineers, project managers, and customer representatives during installation and commissioning.
• Prepare service reports, commissioning reports, installation checklists, and daily work updates.
• Follow all company safety procedures, customer site safety requirements, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain tools, testing instruments, and company assets in proper working conditions.

Travel Requirement:

• Up to 50%–75% Travel Across the United States

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Technical School, ITI, Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent practical experience in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, equipment manuals, and installation documentation.
• Knowledge of: PLC Control Panels, MCC Panels, Field Wiring, Sensors and Instrumentation, VFDs and Motor Controls, Industrial Power Distribution Systems
• Hands-on experience and good working knowledge of electrical installation tools including wire crimping tools, ferruling tools, cable gland tools, drilling machines, multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters, smart testing instruments, labeling and cable marking systems, hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and alignment equipment used for industrial automation and machinery installation.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Basic computer, reporting, and documentation skills

Additional certifications are a plus:

• OSHA Certification
• Forklift Certification
• Scissor Lift Certification
• Boom Lift Certification
• Electrical Safety Training

Experience working at industrial customer sites, warehouses, and construction environments is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The employee must be able to perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
• Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb, and work for extended periods.
• Work at heights using ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms.
• Work in warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, and construction environments.
• Perform tasks in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
